Zeev Zalevsky
Prof. Zeev Zalevsky () is a Professor at Bar-Ilan University's Faculty of Engineering where he has held a full professorship since 2010. He earned his B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Tel Aviv University in 1993, graduating cum laude, and completed his Ph.D. there in 1996. His doctoral thesis focused on "Unconventional Optical Processors for Pattern Recognition and Signal Processing".From 1993 to 1996, he worked as a teaching assistant at Tel Aviv University and later served as an adjunct lecturer at Ariel Academic College and Tel Aviv University in the late 1990s and early 2000s. He joined Bar-Ilan University in 2004 as a senior lecturer and was promoted to associate professor in 2007, and then to full professor in 2010.
He founded and led the electro-optics track at the Faculty of Engineering at Bar-Ilan University from 2004 to 2019. He also served as the Dean of Engineering from 2019 to 2024 and as the Vice Dean on two occasions. He directed the Nano-Photonics Center at Bar-Ilan's Institute of Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials (BINA) from 2006 to 2018.
